Julie's Beans

2 large apples, peeled and chopped
1 garlic clove, pressed or minced
1 tsp chili powder
3 small onions, chopped
1 pkg sausage, browned and crumbled
28oz can baked beans
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 (14oz) cans kidney beans, drained
2 (14oz) cans lima beans, drained
If cooking in the oven: Preheat oven to 300, mix all ingredients and place in a Dutch oven, cover and bake for 2 1/2 hours. If cooking in a crockpot: Mix all ingredients in a crockpot, cover and cook on low overnight.
Pizzelle's

3 1/2 cups unsifted flour
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup butter (room temperature)
6 large eggs
4 tsp baking powder
1 bottle anise extract
1/2 tsp lemon extract
Mix it all up in a bowl, then preheat pizzelle maker (available at Target). Use a tablespoon to scoop into pizzelle maker. Leave in for 45 seconds.
