Regular Wednesday evening meetings are held from 7:00 – 8:30pm. Boys learn new skills, pass advancements, do a Bible study, get fully involved in recreation, and are given a devotion pertaining to living a life for Christ.

Since its inception in 1962, the focus of Royal Rangers has been to reach, teach, and keep boys for Christ...

There are four grade groupings:
• Ranger Kids (Grades K-2)
• Discovery Rangers (Grades 3-5)
• Adventure Rangers (Grades 6-8)
• Expedition Rangers (Grades 9-12)

Using Luke 2:52 as the basis by which boys grow mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially, the Royal Rangers ministry has been developed to train the whole boy. Godly leaders show boys how the Christian life is lived and help boys grow into mature disciples. While “full-time committed” leadership positions (Commanders and Lt. Commanders) are especially needed and desired, “part-time committed” helper positions are eagerly received by the Commanders to “fill in the gap” by doing special assignments, attending specific outings, or by just being at a regular weekly meeting to help where needed. The Royal Rangers ministry is always seeking to recruit more leaders, thereby enabling more boys to be reached, and ministering better to the boys already in the program. Special Council of Achievements (SCOA) are held quarterly so boys can receive the awards and certificates that they have earned. At least one of these SCOA is held during a service in the church (usually as part of the annual “Royal Ranger Week,” which occurs the second week in October each year). The other SCOA’s are held during the combined meetings, where all of the groups meet together.

Two Section 4 Royal Ranger events are held each year – the Section 4 Pinewood Derby and the Section 4 Roundup. Each event brings together all of the churches in Section 4 for fellowship, learning, competition, and spiritual growth.

Two major Penn. Florida District Royal Ranger events are scheduled each year – the District Royal Ranger Pow Wow and the District Ranger Kids Jamboree. Each event is designed to bring together all of the Royal Rangers in the Penn. Florida District for fun, fellowship, learning, and specific activities and experiences that are etched in the minds of those rangers who come.
