How did you come to Ocala First?
After serving in full time student ministry for 9 years, the Lord used a dear friend of Pastor Brunson's and myself to put us in contact. We're honored to serve the Lord on such a talented and diverse staff.
What is your role at Ocala First?
My wife Cheryl and I oversee Alpha, the Jr. and Sr. High Student Ministry.
What is the best part about your role?
I find a lot of joy in putting time into the lives of young people, and seeing God do great things in their life. We have always found our greatest joy in training students to become leaders.
What do you count as the greatest invention of the last 100 years? Why?
Does that little push-button, clamshell sunglasses holder that you buy at the gas station and put on your sun visor count? Everything else really pales in comparison, but I'll name a few more of the top 10... iPod, Mac, DVR, ESPN, Diet Dr. Pepper.
What is your favorite place on the earth?
Wherever my wife is! Do I really have the option of answering any other way? I don't think so...
What makes you laugh?
My kids Philip, Jack and Ali. They say the funniest things.
What makes you cry?
The awesome responsibility of God's anointing, and the fact that He's chosen me to be of use to Him. Seeing students lost in worship is a close second.
If you could be on any reality television show, which one would it be?
If we're talking reality, then I've got to go with Big Brother. I'd dominate that game. With the Lord on my side, I'd be unstoppable. He could tell me things, like how people are going to vote, or who to vote off. I'm not sure He'd do that, but if He would, that would be cool.
